Who founded Bulwark Coffee Company?

With a heart still drawn to service after many years in the United States Marine Corps, Rich Turner continues to invent new ways to serve veterans and first responders. Together with United States Army Green Beret, Craig Coppock, they launched Bulwark Coffee Company as a way to raise awareness and support for those who stand ready to lay their lives down in protection for their communities. These are the true heroes and they deserve, not only our respect, but our unwavering support.

How do first responders benefit from Bulwark Coffee Company?

BCC has 3 overarching tenants:

Bulwark Coffee Company commits 100% of its profits to support first responders across the United States. Even as a private company, we believe our promise for transparency urges us to share our financials.

How can I register my department to be a participating recipient of the Bulwark Coffee Company charity?

Simple! Visit the Bulwark-Coffee.com/Community link and register your department. That’s it!

Do I have to re-register annually?

Yes! To ensure our records remains updated, we require each department to register using their department annually. It is free to participate. Simply click REGISTER and fill out the form. 

What’s with the Bulwark’s seasonal coffee having a department logo on it? How did they get selected?

In true competitive fashion, the department with the most donations in the preceding year makes it onto the following year’s seasonal coffee. 

To maximize community engagement, the competition is a regional one (within states). Therefore, a NYC department will not be in competition with a significantly smaller one from rural Oklahoma or Tennessee. 

Can a department win the seasonal branding competition within consecutive years?

Yes! In order to qualify in consecutive years, the department has to double the donations received in their previous year.

Can my organization (i.e., hospital, hotel, dealership, enterprise, etc.) order in bulk?

Absolutely! We have volume discount programs which enable BCC to compete on price point, making it all the more affordable to support your local first responders.

As a purchaser, can I track how much I have donated?

Yes! Simply refer to the profile you created on your first purchase. From then on, your donations are something to brag about! And we make it easy for you to brag accurately.

Are the proceeds from the coffee purchased that go to charity tax deductible?

No. What makes Bulwark Coffee Company unique is that it is the only coffee company in the world that donates 100% of its profits to first responders. As a for-profit company, it operates as a competitive business, always seeking to optimize its margins in order to maximize its contribution to the heroes we support.

However, you can always make a tax-deductible contribution directly to the Bulwark Coffee Foundation!

Can I make a tax-deductible contribution?

Yes! Bulwark Coffee Foundation does accept tax deductible contributions to support first responders. Thank you for supporting our brave men and women!

Where is my receipt for my tax deductible donation?

Bulwark Coffee Foundation is a non-profit organization. Therefore, all donations made directly to the foundation are tax deductible. Currently donations can be made online or by mailing a check to:

For those who donate online, you will automatically receive a receipt that can be used for tax purposes. Please keep the receipt for your records. Those who mail a check will receive a receipt in the mail. If you lose or misplace your receipt, please email donation@bulwark.mystagingwebsite.com 

Can I get a refund on my donation?

If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to BCF, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 business days of your donation. To request a refund, call (XXX) XXX-XXXX or email

Refunds are returned using the original method of payment, except cash donations will be returned via check. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card. 

Does Bulwark Coffee Company offer a subscription service?

Yes! We prefer it actually! This way we can best project revenues, minimize costs, and maximize profits, which, as a reminder, go completely to charity!

Does Bulwark Coffee Company offer a military & first responder discount?

Yes! Not only do we support them with our profits, but also we give them a 10% discount on all online purchases.

Besides the website, where else can I find Bulwark Coffee Company sold?

Distribution opportunities are arriving frequently, and we are scaling to meet demand nationwide, so we thank you for your patience if we are not yet in your local grocery store. But don’t be surprised if you see us soon!

Are you on CharityNavigator.org or Guidestar.org?

How are the proceeds from the Bulwark Coffee Company merchandise used?

Just like the coffee, proceeds from clothing, mugs, and other merchandise are used to cover expenses first, and what remains goes directly to the first responders.
