Superior, Colorado, January 24, 2022 /BCCNewsroom/ — Bulwark Coffee Company (BCC) founder, Rich Turner, announces a partnership with Denver, Colorado’s specialty coffee roaster, Corvus Coffee.
While not yet operational, Bulwark Coffee Company is carefully forming alliances that align with its values and strategy. In a candid but bold admission, Turner stated, “We’re creating an eCommerce, direct-to-consumer (DTC) coffee retailer that donates 100% of its profits to address the unmet needs of first responders, military veterans, and their families.” Chatter over its unique, some say, “impossible” business model has the Denver community buzzing.
Not only does the venture seek to bolster its veteran and first responder community, but also it seeks to augment local businesses and strengthen the bonds between the two. This was the initiative behind its partnership with Corvus Coffee. By partnering with a local roaster, Bulwark Coffee Company broadens its product offering while pioneering new models of sustainability.
“You don’t find entrepreneurs penetrating the market only to donate the profits of their company,” says Turner. “That’s what makes Bulwark Coffee Company so different. That’s how you know we are mission-driven. To us, sustainability isn’t charging people extra for using plastic [referring to Boulder County’s Disposable Bag Fee]. It is about developing new business models that continually re-invest value back into the system. It is about encouraging behavior, not punishing it. By partnering with Corvus Coffee, we can add value to the market, help Corvus Coffee grow, and remain true to our mission of serving those who serve.”
According to Turner, Covus Coffee will not be the only roasting partner. Bulwark Coffee Company is screening other roasters’ operational processes, charitable outreaches, and mission-driven philosophies, seeking alignment and synergies, while broadening their product portfolio. Bulwark Coffee Company says it is on schedule to launch on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022.

The foundation funds four charitable initiatives: law enforcement, fire and ems, military, and disaster relief, all at a local level. Their charities fund mental health resources, equipment, equine therapy, scholarships, and more. The Foundation also provides tactical rescue operations and aid delivery in contested environments such as Ukraine.
